Propositional fuzzy logics based on Frankt - norms : A comparisonErich

چکیده
Among various approaches to fuzzy logics, we have chosen two of them, which are built up in a similar way. Although starting from diierent basic logical connectives, they both use interpretations based on Frank t-norms. Diierent interpretations of the implication lead to diierent axiomatizations, but most logics studied here are complete. We compare the properties, advantages and disadvantages of the two approaches. We deal also with logics containing innnitary conjunctions , and we show that they are semantically \stronger" than all the other logics studied in this paper. 1 Frank t-norms Triangular norms were introduced in the framework of probabilistic metric spaces 33, 32, 34], based on ideas rst presented in 22], and they are applied in several elds, e.g., in fuzzy sets 35], fuzzy logics 2, 14, 28] and their applications , but also in the theory of generalized measures 1, 19] and nonlinear diierential and diierence equations 27]. A triangular norm (t-norm for short) is a commutative, associative, non-decreasing operation T : 0; 1] 2 ! 0; 1] with neutral element 1. An immediate consequence of the commutativity, the monotonicity and the boundary

On Triangular Norm-Based Propositional Fuzzy Logics
Fuzzy logics based on triangular norms and their corresponding conorms are investigated. An aarmative answer to the question whether in such logics a speciic level of satissability of a set of formulas can be characterized by the same level of satissability of its nite subsets is given. Tautologies, contradictions and contingencies with respect to such fuzzy logics are studied, in particular fo...
متن کاملTruth Values and Connectives in Some Non-Classical Logics
The question as to whether the propositional logic of Heyting, which was a formalization of Brouwer's intuitionistic logic, is finitely many valued or not, was open for a while (the question was asked by Hahn). Kurt Gödel (1932) introduced an infinite decreasing chain of intermediate logics, which are known nowadays as Gödel logics, for showing that the intuitionistic logic is not finitely (man...
متن کاملAnalytic Calculi for Logics of Ordinal Multiples of Standard t-Norms
For two propositional fuzzy logics, we present analytic proof calculi, based on relational hypersequents. The logic considered first, called Mà L, is based on the finite ordinal sums of à Lukasiewicz t-norms. In addition to the usual connectives – the conjunction ̄, the implication →, and the constant 0 –, we use a further unary connective interpreted by the function associating with each truth...
متن کاملAxiomatizations of t-norm based logics - A survey
In fuzzy logic in wider sense, i.e. in the field of fuzzy sets applications, t-norms got a prominent rôle in recent times. In many-valued logic, the Lukasiewicz systems, the Gödel sytems, and also the product logic all are t-norm based systems. The present paper discusses the more general problem of the adequate axiomatizability for such t-norm based logical systems in general, surveying result...
متن کاملAlgebras of Fuzzy Sets in Logics Based on Continuous Triangular Norms
Associated with any [0, 1]-valued propositional logic with a complete algebraic semantics, one can consider algebras of families of fuzzy sets over a classical universe, endowed with the appropriate operations. For the three most important schematic extensions of Hájek’s Basic (Fuzzy) Logic, we investigate the existence and the structure of such algebras of fuzzy sets in the corresponding algeb...
